How to review a failed mock exam without wasting a week

A failed mock exam is data. The goal is not to feel bad — it is to build a short, ruthless study plan from the question review.

1. Triage misses into three buckets

Careless errors, forgotten facts, and method gaps. Only method gaps need deep coaching. Careless errors need slower pacing drills. Forgotten facts need spaced flash review.

2. Re-work method gaps with guidance

Open Study Coach on the exact chapter that failed. Insist on writing steps yourself. If the coach offers a hint, use it — then finish the problem without looking up the final answer online.

3. Re-test the same chapter soon

Within a few days, sit another timed mock focused on that chapter. If the score is still weak, the method is not fluent yet — another coaching block beats jumping to a new topic.
